Seasonal Fuel Delivery Driver – Class B

Noonan Energy is a 6th-generation family-owned business that is built to be around for years to come. Noonan is looking for a seasonal, qualified, and experienced home heating oil delivery driver to join our team – full or part-time hours available.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plans and completes an efficient delivery route for the day.
• Delivers fuel to correct addresses, leaving ticket when necessary.
• Transports fuel safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
• Deftly maneuvers truck into loading and unloading areas.
• Loads and offloads fuel safely, correctly and efficiently.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Department of Transportation-approved physical
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to subsequent random drug tests throughout tenure as mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
• Ability to remain focused in busy environment.

Education and Experience:

• Valid Class B Driver’s license w/hazmat/tank endorsement and clean driving record.
• Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting in a truck cab.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
